Major League Soccer star Alan Pulido was seen red during a Leagues Cup match for headbutting his opponent.
The Sporting Kansas City forward drew a straight red in the 30th minute of the clash against FC Cincinnati after losing his cool.
Pulido tangled with Yerson Mosquera, who is on loan from Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers, as they battled for the ball.
Mosquera, frustrated after being dropped by Pulido’s challenge, shoved his opponent from behind.
But Pulido reacted strangely in an overly aggressive manner, headbutting Mosquera in the face.

Pulido had knocked down Mosquera, on loan from Wolves, with his challenge
Mosquera’s teammate, Alvas Powell, came running along with Cincinnati captain Luciano Acosta, who yelled at Pulido in defense of his player.
The incident occurred in front of referee Daniel Quintero Huitron, who rushed over and quickly showed the red card.
The ejection left Kansas City down to ten men for the remaining 60 minutes of the game and proved instantly costly as he conceded only moments later via goaltender John Pulskamp’s own goal.
Brandon Vázquez scored in the 56th minute for Cincinnati, assisted by Acosta, to make it 2-2.
Gadi Kinda put Kansas City back on top, only for Acosta’s stoppage-time equalizer from the penalty spot that tied the game 3–3 late in the second half and forced penalty kicks.
Cincinnati won the shootout 4-2 and earned an extra point in their League Cup group.
Sporting Kansas City faces Guadalajara next, but Pulido will not be eligible to face his former team.
