Shocking moment a man is thrown from a car in a horrifying accident where it hits a metal door in North Dakota

A driver has died after he was thrown from his car and smashed into a metal gate in a gruesome crash in North Dakota.

Mendiola was not wearing a seatbelt and captured CCTV footage shows the shocking moment he was thrown from the car before crashing into a store front.
A driver has died after he was thrown from his car and crashed into a metal gate in a gruesome crash in North Dakota
Salvador Mendiola, 32, of Mexico, was driving a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer southbound on 87th Avenue Northwest in New Town on Aug. 5 around 11:20 p.m.
Passengers Lázaro González, 25, and Salvador González, 26, both from Mexico, were also injured in the crash.
Lázaro was in the front seat and was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car while Salvador, in the back, was wearing one and remained in the vehicle.
Authorities rushed to the location where Mendiola was pronounced dead after the shocking accident.
Lazarus was seriously injured and was taken to Trinity Hospital in Minot for treatment while Salvador suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.

In a video of the horrific accident, the car is seen skidding off the road and rolling down a ditch.
Mendiola is then thrown out of the window and travels in the air at high speed for a few seconds.
He breaks down the metal front door of a business as terrified witnesses look on.
The car then crashes into a parked car and comes to a stop.
The accident is still being investigated by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
