Eyewitness accounts claim that a young man stood at the top of the platform and refused to come down, and was therefore brutally ejected from the high ladder by the pool lifeguard.
After two other rescuers both allegedly asked the man to get down, another intervened, taking matters into his own hands.
According to the Austrian newspaper OÖNachrichten, an internal investigation is still underway within the company, the employee concerned having gone on vacation following the incident.
A statement from Steyrer Stadtbades confirmed that the rescuer worked for their company and had indeed kicked a man off the rig.

He was temporarily relieved of his duties while the investigation was carried out.
It is unclear exactly when the incident shown in the video took place – which was posted on Picture – occurred.
Local council authorities are also investigating the incident in an attempt to resolve the issue, according to Today.
SBS’s statement reads: “SBS will do everything it can to ensure that the Steyrer, and the Steyrer in the future, can provide a pleasant and comfortable time in Steyrer Stadtbad.”
“The job of a lifeguard is to ensure the safety of customers. It is therefore very unfortunate that the rescuer was involved in the fall.
“We are doing everything we can to be clear about the circumstances.”
After meeting with pool patrons who were present at the time, SBS also apologized for the “misjudgment” displayed by the lifeguard.
