Shocking video shows the moment a half-naked Briton lunges at a passing motorcyclist and bites him in a mad rampage, before being taken away by police.

The man, believed to be from the Royal Navy, was with a group of other Britons in Chennai, southeast India, when he began his bizarre attack on commuters, local media report.

He was reportedly a member of the crew of one of two ships that were anchored nearby for maintenance and made a trip to Royapettah with his fellow sailors.

He appeared to be intoxicated as he ran through the busy street, biting people at random, while passers-by desperately tried to subdue the attacker.

Even as police responded to the incident, the man managed to escape and continued to wreak havoc.

He is seen running away from the cops before jumping on an unsuspecting man who is stuck in traffic on his moped.
