Shocking moment driver involved in rollover RUNS away from scene down side of busy road

A man involved in a car accident that left a vehicle overturned on its roof bizarrely fled the scene and was filmed running down a busy road.

The crash sent what appeared to be a white sedan crashing into its roof, and the vehicle was completely destroyed by the collision.

The driver of one of the cars involved was seen standing on the side of the road with blood dripping from one of his knees.

He reached under the white car to grab something before suddenly fleeing the scene.

Onlookers filmed the man running to the other side of the motorway, before running down the road.

He eventually jumped a fence on the side of the road, disappeared into the nearby bushes and continues to flee.

Victoria Police confirmed they were investigating the incident. It is unclear what car the man who fled the scene was driving.

“Two vehicles are believed to have collided on the Monash Freeway at around 1.25pm,” a spokeswoman said.

‘The driver of one of the vehicles fled. The driver of the other vehicle was not seriously injured.
