This is the horrifying moment a gunman jumped out of his car and shot a 31-year-old driver in the chest in Philadelphia.

Police released dash cam footage of the approximately 30-second incident after responding to a 911 call about a shooting around 9:40 p.m. on Friday, April 12.

The video shows the unknown suspect jumping out of the passenger side of a Nissan Murano that had stopped in front of the victim while they were waiting at a red light in the 7100 block of Old York Road.

The attacker approaches the car with a gun raised, seems to think twice and then runs away while firing two shots at the windshield.

The driver was rushed to hospital in critical condition and his current condition is unknown.

Police are now searching for both the driver and passenger seen in the video.

The shooting suspect was described as “a black male, heavy built, with a full beard, wearing a black cap, large black framed glasses, black hooded jacket with the “Nike” logo on the left chest, pants gray sneakers, white and black sneakers.” .’

The driver of the Nissan SUV was described as a “black male wearing a black balaclava-style mask, a black zipper jacket over a white shirt, black or gray pants with a black belt.”

His vehicle was last seen heading north towards Cheltenham Township.

Sources within the Philadelphia Police Department told a local reporter that the shooting was a planned robbery attempt by the two suspects seen in the video.

The journalist, Steve Keeley, said the victim works for a company called Fast Cash and was transporting $100,000 in cash.

The man carrying the cash reportedly has a license to carry a firearm, causing the suspect to abruptly duck and flee.

Philadelphia Police are asking community members to come forward with any information that could lead to the capture of either suspect.

Authorities are offering anyone with actionable information leading to an arrest and conviction a $5,000 reward. They also warned people not to approach the two suspects if they see them, but to call 911.
