A simple draw between Amen Thompson and Tyler Herro quickly turned into a melee between the Miami Heat and the Houston Rockets on Sunday night, when six people in total were ejected from the contest.
It all started with less than a minute left in the game, with Miami five points ahead of Houston and about to score the ball.
Herro lined up as the first option to receive the ball, while Thompson watched him closely.
Thompson hooked Herro’s arm in a way that would have been called a foul before the play began, and the Heat star didn’t like the physical contact.
Herro and Thompson grab each other’s shirts and just as security, fellow players and coaches are about to separate them, Thompson slams Herro into the hardwood floor.
A massive confrontation broke out and the squads quickly separated, but not before Thompson and Herro exchanged words while pinned down.

After the game, Herro commented on the situation, with the Heat winning the game 104-100 over the Rockets.
I guess that’s what happens when someone scores, throws dimes, and does everything. I’d be mad too,’ Herro said.
The teams will meet once again this season with a game in Miami on March 21.
