A callous bank robber risked a little girl’s life when he led her to a raid on a First Convenience branch in Texas.

Staff at the Fort Worth Walmart location were caught off guard when a middle-aged customer walked in pushing a child in a shopping cart.

He passed a note to a teller demanding cash before picking up the boy and running off with the money in his pocket.

A shocking security image still released by the FBI shows the man leaving with the child in his arms.

‘Endangering an innocent baby, what a complete sob!’ wrote Lee Ann Rose on the Fort Worth Police Department Facebook page.

The robber, who has not been identified, struck shortly after 2pm on June 6 at the Anderson Boulevard location.

There was little cause for suspicion when he walked in wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a fishing shirt and khaki shorts.

The FBI said he is between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and between 35 and 45 years old, but his description did not impress some skeptical posters.

“That guy looks like he’s in his 50s and is probably a grandson,” one wrote.

‘Walmart has more cameras and monitors than employees and this is what we have to do?’ demanded another.

‘There are no videos leaving, entering, or showing them leaving the property or entering a vehicle. I bet the guys in the car understand robbery better.

A woman who claims to be part of the staff said she was completely fooled by the unlikely thief. “I feel completely bad,” Titi Marie wrote on Facebook.

“I’m the security guard who works at this place and I was on duty when he robbed the bank,” he admitted. ‘Unfortunately, I walked past him not knowing that he was the one who was going to rob the bank. I hope someone finds it soon.

“He did it so no guard or police officer would point a gun at him,” Ty Clinton wrote.

Some Fort Worth residents were appalled by the danger he had put the boy in.

“It just surprised me,” Shirley Ingram told NBC DFW.

‘I want to think about that poor baby, about being involved in something like that, but she’s too young to really know what’s going on.

“He probably thought that if someone was going to shoot, they would think about the little girl in his arms, so I think he was using her as a shield.”
