This is the moment a “drunk” Celtic fan punches police officers in a shocking fight on an EasyJet flight “after drinking a bottle of vodka”.

Footage has emerged of a man dressed in a Celtic football shirt punching other passengers as a crash occurs in the aisle of the plane, which was flying from Edinburgh to Antalya, Turkey, on Saturday.

The fight is believed to have started towards the end of the flight after another Celtic supporter branded the man a “disgrace”.

A passenger on the plane said the “drunk” attacker had been trying to get her bag from the overhead bins during the flight and staff had confiscated a bottle of Gold Ivy vodka.

The clip shows the man standing next to his seat and throwing punches at someone in front of him.

The passengers watched dumbfounded as the tourist tried to move towards the aisle.

Surprised tourists, including a girl, watch as the Celtic fan advances towards the aisle where a group of passengers and plane staff try to restrain him.

Several people can be heard shouting as the man tries to get through the crowd.

The football fan stops the attack for a few moments but then begins to throw more punches, particularly at someone who appears to be a police officer.

A passenger appears to shout, “Fuck him,” as the officer tries to push the man to the ground while people stood around filming the scene on their phones.

When he finally does, several tourists can be heard reassuring horrified children and one of them says: “it’s okay, it’s okay.”

At this point, most of the passengers are standing and leaning over their seats to see what has happened to the man.

Another video shows the Celtic fan being dragged away while shouting at other tourists and people cheering loudly from their seats.

A passenger on the plane told MailOnline that the man had previously tried to punch the other Celtic supporter when he called him a “disgrace”.

The police officer then tries to push the attacker to the floor of the plane as passengers scream through the plane.

He said: “Before hitting the officer he had been drinking and finishing a bottle of vodka he had snuck onto the plane and trying to talk to the girls at the back of the plane by the toilets and he was very drunk.

‘When the flight attendants tried to take the bottle of Gold Ivy vodka from him. He said, “I don’t want to give it to you because I need it to protect myself.”

‘At the end of the flight he was constantly shouting and pulling his bag out of the overhead bin and staff were telling him to sit down.

Then another Celtic fan said it was a disgrace.

‘He tried to fight the other guy, but his wife/girlfriend/partner tried to hold him down.

“Then the police came up and tried to throw punches at them.”

The passenger said someone who shouted “come on Celtic” had “started all over again”.

The Glasgow team beat Aberdeen on penalties to reach the Scottish Cup final while the flight was in the air.

‘Before landing, someone at the top of the flight had cheered because they found out the result and shouted “let’s go Celta.”

“That had started it all over again, but I don’t think that triggered it, as it was being difficult before.”

The tourist added that his 12-year-old son was “stressed” during the fight.

He said: ‘A lot of people had children and there were empty seats at the back of the plane when they moved them too.

‘When they brought it out, they applauded. Everyone was stressed and the children were crying non-stop.

‘My 12-year-old son was stressed, but he was fine.

“It wasn’t ideal.

‘[The Celtic fan] He waited ten to twenty minutes on the tarmac for the police to arrive.

I think security and police took him to the airport.

An easyJet spokesperson said: “easyJet can confirm that police attended a flight to Antalya on 20 April upon arrival due to a passenger engaging in disruptive behavior on board.
