This is the shocking moment a £10million superyacht crashed into a cruise ship off the Bahamas.

Footage taken by passengers shows the yacht Aurora veering diagonally toward the massive cruise ship Allure of the Seas while docked in Nassau Harbor on December 12.

Horrified cruise ship passengers standing at the railing can be heard shouting: “This is surely going to hit us.” They are hitting us. “Oh no, they’re going to hit us.”

The 121-foot yacht then slammed into the Royal Caribbean ship with a loud crash, before scraping the hull of the 1,187-foot cruise ship, accompanied by deafening cracks.

“About a third of the way through the cruise ship as it entered the port, it suddenly turned right and continued to approach,” said witness Dayanni Bhagwandin, who filmed the accident. 7 News Miami.

‘The yacht kept moving forward throughout the cruise so I assume it kept hitting it and touching the side as it went. And finally we went to the port.

The yacht’s mast even hit one of the cruise ship’s lifeboats, which tore off the radar dome and left debris on the yacht.

The Allure of the Seas suffered minimal damage and left the Bahamas port 40 minutes late.

Meanwhile, a distraught crew member ran onto the yacht’s deck and was filmed desperately trying to lower the fenders to minimize further damage.

One passenger then asked him if he was okay, while another scoffed that he would probably be fired.

Shortly after the accident, a police boat was seen pulling up alongside the superyacht.

Built as part of the Nordhavn 120 series and valued at £10.5 million ($13.5 million), Aurora can accommodate up to ten guests in her five bedrooms, including a private master suite on the main deck.

It is unclear if there were guests on board at the time of the accident.

“It looks like the yacht definitely sustained a lot more damage, so I just hope everyone on the yacht is okay,” Bhagwandin said.

The 414-tonne yacht reportedly lost its antenna mast and radar as a result of the accident.

No injuries have been reported following the incident, but the Aurora remains docked in Nassau for repairs due to the extensive damage it sustained.
