An adorable little girl named Miracle tragically died after her stroller was hit by a “drunk man driving his truck in the dark with no headlights.”

Miracle Mae Calloway was just 11 months old when her stepfather, Marquise Reese, 34, took her for a walk.

Reese was pushing little Miracle in his stroller at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Tucson, Arizona, along with two other adults.

He was attempting to cross Rurthrauff Road when they were both hit by a vehicle.

While Reese only suffered minor injuries, Miracle faced life-threatening injuries and the couple was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver was identified as Colton Frank Ortiz, 32, and legal documents revealed that he had allegedly been driving east without using his headlights.

Miracle’s relatives claim Ortiz was drunk and started the hashtag ‘#justiceformmiracle’ on social media.

“Drugs and alcohol while driving never end well,” Miracle’s aunt, Melinda Jean Barger, posted on Facebook. “Let’s not let another family suffer like we do now,” she said.

Miracle’s family adored her and is devastated by her loss. Her aunt said, “My heart is broken.”

The baby’s mother, Kallee Foukes, regularly posted tributes to her beloved daughter online.

Just a few weeks ago, she said, “That.”It’s amazing how quickly time flies when you enjoy every moment with your little one.’

“The last 10 months have been a blur of diaper changes, feeding and playtime, but I wouldn’t trade any of that for the world,” she said.

In a December post, Foukes described how Miracle lived up to its name by having a “huge impact” on the lives of so many people.

‘dad mArchese ReeseAnd mom I love you more than you could ever imagine and you are loved by many. There are too many to name, but never say or feel that you are unloved. The list of people goes from one end of the United States to the other,’ the mother said in her heartbreaking February 9 tribute to her daughter.

Ortiz faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated assault and aggravated DUI.

He is being held on $200,000 bail.

Employees at Angelo’s Pizza and Gyros witnessed officers arriving at the location Tuesday. 13 News reported.

“We were working and we started seeing a lot of police officers,” said Adam Sieria, a cook at Angelo’s.

“We started to notice traffic being blocked to make a U-turn and about 10 minutes later there were a ton of police, cars and firefighters outside,” he continued.

Another witness at a nearby gym went outside to see if he could help.

“I saw the man who was initially hit,” said Curtis Johnson, trainer at Power and Exercise Fitness Center. “He was kind of limping on the road, and I was making sure he was out of the way of the car.”

“I thought it was a shopping cart or something, I wasn’t sure because it was so dark,” Johnson said. “And that’s when I realized the baby was on the floor and had been hit.”
