She was the cool international hit man who captivated millions while leaving a trail of bodies behind in Killing Eve.

Now Jodie Comer, 26, has set her sights on a new murder – this time in Hollywood.

Miss Comer, who won a best actress Bafta for her role as Villanelle in BBC thriller Killing Eve, saw another weapon this week when she shot a new film with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds.

The Liverpool-born actress, who wore tight leather pants, pushed the weapon into Reynolds & # 39; ribs in a series of bank robberies for action guy Free Guy in Boston.

The film is about a lonely bench worker – the 42-year-old Reynolds – who discovers that he is a player in a huge video game called Free City. Miss Comer, who is a & # 39; mousy programmer & # 39; and plays an avatar called Molotov Girl, Grazia magazine told that she couldn't believe that A-lister Reynolds is following her on Instagram.

She said: & # 39; It is a moment of pinching. He's just the funniest, nicest guy, and getting up and leaving him and being happy to work with me is very overwhelming – you have to pinch yourself. & # 39;

The actress said about Villanelle: & I have to leave Jodie at the door to play her. She is so free and has no sense of consequence or fear. You can do all those crazy things. & # 39;

She added: & # 39; I feel very happy. Many of the characters I played were complex and challenging. & # 39; Killing Eve will be back later this year.
