Shaughna Phillips told fans a poor choice of clothes meant she looked “podgy” in Sunday’s episode of Aftersun after she was accused of editing her images.
The Love Island star, 25, took to Instagram Monday to respond to a comment on a bikini-clad photo, where a follower asked why her body looked different from how her shape appeared on the ITV show’s sister show.
She told the Instagram user who knew she “wanted to scream” when she saw Aftersun, but explained her choice of clothing and why her body didn’t look the same was because she didn’t have time to rearrange her dress.
Wrong dress: Shaughna Phillips told fans a poor choice of clothes meant she looked ‘podgy’ in Sunday’s episode of Aftersun, after she was accused of editing her images
Shaughna has spoken extensively about image editing before, and this time she was responding to comments from a fan following her last TV appearance. She wrote: ‘Honestly I saw aftersun the next day and wanted to scream’
The TV personality explained that because she was sitting, the red ruffled dress didn’t look as good as she could have done standing.
She continued: “I was wearing a ruffled dress that is great for standing up or dancing, but not so good in sitting…
“Also because it was live TV we literally watched England’s final penalty and then ran onto the set ready to go live I couldn’t look in a mirror or fix my dress”

She continued to say it was in a rush before the show started rolling, writing, ‘I couldn’t sit down and reposition my dress to look flatter, it was literally running, sitting and action!
“So I think this is actually a perfect example of the same body, different clothes/different situation.
“The time difference between aftersun and this photo is literally a week, I’m the same size in both (10/12), so let’s just live our livessssssssss!”
She concluded her body positive message: ‘So what if I look plump in one photo, look skinny in one photo, look curvy in another, SO BLADDDYYYYY WHATTTTTTTT’.
She posted a photo of the response to her story with the caption: ‘Don’t hate @s_j_leishman_ either! This is not a troll, but a genuine question that I fully agree with and which I think needs explanation.’

She looked gorgeous in the photo wearing a brown and black patterned bikini while eating pineapple.
This comes after Shaughna was again accused of editing her images on the photo-sharing platform.
The social media influencer set the record straight on Sunday by denying she had Photoshopped her body in her latest sunkissed snap.
She shared a breathtaking photo with her 1.5 million Instagram followers, showing off her figure in a lilac bikini with the caption ‘hot girl summer is thirsty work’.
But not long after, she moved on to her story, sharing a before and after version of the original photo — stating that she hadn’t changed the look of her body.

The notable difference in the before and after versions was the use of a filter, but Shaughna also mentioned another change she made.
“Just a little note to people that I Photoshopped my last photo. My body hasn’t been worked on, I’m pretty sure the sleuths looking for dodgy lines in the background will tell you [laughing emoji]she explained.
She went on to admit which part of the photo she had edited.
“I definitely got rid of the huge spot I inherited on the side of my face. I said a few weeks ago that from then on there will be no more processing of my body and I meant it x’.
The catalyst for Shaughna to explain herself could very well have been the comment of a follower, who suggested she use Photoshop.
“We just saw you on live TV on after sun, you don’t need the Photoshop photos. You’re comfortable in your own skin,” they wrote.
Shaughna responded by calling it “the best compliment ever” because the photo is “10000% not Photoshopped.”
