Sharon Stone and Rufus Wainwright support PHOTO17’s third annual photography auction featuring David Bowie and a young Jessica Lange
For the third year in a row, Milk Studios will host PHOTO17, the annual photography auction for STORIES: The AIDS Monument on October 5th at Milk Studios Hollywood.
Sharon Stone will once again serve as Honorary Chair of the event.
“This memorial means love; it means hope; it means we’re doing our part and standing up against the evil we see in the world…” Stone said in announcing this year’s event.

One of the greatest singers, composers, and songwriters of his generation, Rufus Wainwright has released eight studio albums, three DVDs, and three live albums.
He has collaborated with artists from Elton John, David Byrne, Robbie Williams, Mark Ronson and Joni Mitchell to Burt Bacharach. His album “Rufus Does Judy” recorded at Carnegie Hall in 2006 was nominated for a Grammy Award, and he will act in support of, STORIES: The AIDS Monument.

100% of Photo17’s proceeds benefit Stories: AIDS Monument and the AIDS Monument Foundation. The foundation is in the final stretch of a $5 million fundraising drive to build an AIDS memorial designed by Daniel Tobin of Urban Art Projects that will be based in West Hollywood Park.

The auction will feature live and silent auctions of extraordinary images from collectors and galleries.

Photo17 will include 80 silent pieces and 20 live pieces, with bids being submitted worldwide via Paddle8 on online bidding.

The photos, taken in Paris in 1978, are part of the famous fashion designer’s estate collection and are not available for purchase but were commissioned by the AIDS Memorial Foundation in Antonio’s memory.
Event tickets can be overwhelmed bright event $250 VIP and $150 early tickets before October 2nd.
This year’s auction will also feature exceptional photos by Sly Stone, Debbie Harry and Andy Warhol by Norman Sieff, including those featured here. The Herb Ritts Foundation also donated rare, autographed photos of Herb Ritts.
