Sharon Osbourne LEAVES The Talk after busting with co-hosts over her defense of boyfriend Piers Morgan for saying he didn’t believe Meghan Markle’s Opra interview
Sharon Osborne has left The Talk after a dispute over her defense of Piers Morgan’s criticism of Meghan Markle, CBS confirmed in a statement Friday.
“Sharon Osbourne has decided to leave The Talk,” CBS said in a statement. The events of the March 10 broadcast were disturbing to all concerned, including the audience watching at home.
As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode was not in line with our values of a respectful workplace. We also found no evidence that CBS executives orchestrated the discussion or blinded any of the hosts.

At the same time, we recognize that the network and studio teams, as well as the showrunners, are responsible for what happened during that broadcast, as it was clear that the co-hosts were not well prepared by the staff for a complex and sensitive discussion involving race.
During this week’s hiatus, we will coordinate workshops, listening sessions and training on equality, inclusion and cultural awareness for the hosts, producers and crew. Going forward, we plan to strengthen the production staff and produce procedures to better serve the hosts, the production and ultimately our viewers. ”
