As a father of six-year-old twins and three adult children, Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec has a few tricks up his sleeve when it comes to traveling with kids.
The television personality and businessman, 61, revealed his travel habits and how he adjusts to his children, Hudson and Haven, amid the family’s frequent jet-setting around the world.
Your best advice? Just be prepared to keep them busy for long periods of time.
“Take a small toy or activity and give it to the kids every hour and a half,” Robert said. Travel + Leisure recently.
He added: “It breaks a long journey into sections and gives them something to look forward to.”

For Robert and his wife of eight years, Kym Herjavec, 47, it was a huge relief to have extra iPads and headphones after the entertainment system failed on a 15-hour flight to Australia, his wife’s homeland.
‘Always, always have an iPad with headphones. With children, have a backup for everything!’ Robert said, emphasizing that you should always be ready with a backup plan.
More generally, he shared that his number one packing tip was to “never check luggage.”
He also reiterated that easy access to entertainment, namely “movies downloaded from Netflix” and “Apple AirPods,” were among the technologies he “can’t travel without.”
Once he reaches his destination, Robert dedicates himself to appreciating his surroundings.
“One of the biggest lessons people give up is traveling the world and meeting other incredible human beings,” he told the magazine.
In a series of Instagram stories, Robert revealed some of his favorite tips and tricks while traveling.
“I always make sure to carry spare cables,” he shared, admitting that his chargers and cables often get lost.
The billionaire admitted that, despite traveling frequently by plane, he actually “hates” traveling and has rituals he respects.
“I’m extremely organized,” he listed. “I always tend to work (and) try not to eat in my hotel room.”
Regarding jet lag, the businessman states that he tries to immediately adapt to his new time zone.
“I always try to fly in a way that I can always get into that time zone,” he shared.
Robert and his family are avid travelers, often seen in exotic locations.
In recent months, Robert, Kym and their twins have traveled to Disney’s Aulani Resort in Honolulu, as well as Discovery Land Company’s Yellowstone Club.
Robert met Kym on Dancing With The Stars in 2015. He divorced his first wife and married the Australian ballroom dancer the following year.

The Croatian-born businessman, who made his fortune during the early tech boom of the new millennium, met Kym while working on Dancing With The Stars in 2015.
He had already separated from Diane in 2014, plunged into deep depression and even contemplated suicide, she said. People in 2015.
Kym, a ballroom dancer from Australia, apparently stole Robert’s heart as his partner on the show.
In 2016, Robert divorced Diane the following year and married Kym.
Earlier this year, Daily Mail Australia reported that Kym and Robert had put down more than $23 million for a mansion in the Sydney suburb of Centennial Park.
