The iconic singer, 58, could be seen struggling with her earpiece as she appeared to be having issues with her pitch and timing.
Shania made a very dramatic entrance alongside drag queens and dancers, before quickly finding herself besieged by trouble.
Horrified fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to slam the team behind the scenes as they felt nothing but sympathy for Shania’s ruined moment.
They wrote: ‘Absolutely awful sound mix on Shania!’: ‘The sound at Glastonbury has been terrible on the BBC, Cyndi yesterday and now Shania? Maybe the BBC just hates gay icons’: ‘The sound is rubbish on Shania’: ‘It sounds like Shania knows something is wrong with the sound.’

This comes after fans accused more artists of miming at Glastonbury after Dua Lipa hit back at critics for her headline performance.

The 27-year-old singer, who rose to fame as a member of girl pop group Fifth Harmony, raised temperatures when she took to the stage in a busty top and shorts.
However, the country music star looked sensational when she took the stage.
She made her entrance in a dramatic pink ruffled coat before removing it to reveal a sparkly minidress underneath.
Shania flaunted her stunning figure and completed the look with cowboy boots.
She was joined on stage by musicians.
As she took the stage in her daring ensemble, one of Camila’s backup dancers, who was dressed as an animal, could be seen cooling her off by rubbing ice cream all over her body.
The Cuban-American singer found fame at just 15 years old as part of Fifth Harmony on The X Factor US, before going solo four years later.
As the audience’s eyes popped out at the enthralling performance, some couldn’t help but notice something strange and accused the singer of imitating their songs.

A second wrote: ‘You were disgusted you fake lip sync – Camilla Cabello.’

But Cyndi again faltered on her 1984 song Time After Time, lagging behind the band, suggesting she was having problems with her in-ear monitors.
