The Colombian singer, who has performed at the Super Bowl and three World Cups, added the Copa América to her resume when she performed at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
More than 54,000 people were expected to attend the game, which started at 8 p.m. ET.
Shakira has provided the soundtrack for several football tournaments over the years.
She performed her iconic hit Hips Don’t Lie during the 2006 World Cup final in Berlin, before her chart-topping song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) became the anthem for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
He also wrote and performed the song La La La for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
