Shakira has lashed out at ex Gerard Pique’s new girlfriend, Clara Chia, in a new scorchingly honest interview, revealing how she’s been “strengthened” from their breakup.
The hitmaker, 47, admitted she “believed in the story that a woman needed a man to be complete,” but now realizes she can be “self-sufficient.”
Former Barcelona player Gerard, 36, split from Shakira in June 2022 after 11 years together and officially Instagrammed 23-year-old Clara last month.
Shakira reportedly realized her ex had been unfaithful when she discovered a jar of strawberry jam had been eaten in her absence.
Speaking about their split, she told journalist Enrique Acevedo on Mexican channel Canal Estrellas, “There is a place in hell reserved for women who don’t support other women.”

Shakira further revealed that she now has “more confidence” in herself and has become a “lioness” to her two children Sasha, seven, and Milan, ten.
She explained, “I bought into that story, that a woman needed a man to complete herself. I also had that dream of a family where the kids had a mom and dad under the same roof.
“You don’t realize all your dreams in life but life has a way of compensating you and I think life definitely did it for me with the amazing two kids I have who fill me with love every day.
“I’ve always been quite dependent on men emotionally, I’ve fallen in love with love, and I think I’ve been able to understand that story from a different perspective and today I’m alone enough.”
“When a woman has to face the battle of life, she comes out stronger,” the singer added.
“Now I feel complete, paradoxically, because I depend on myself and I have two children who depend on me and that means I have to be stronger than a lioness.
“That strength comes from experiencing a painful loss, accepting it, tolerating a frustration, understanding that life doesn’t always bring us what we want.
“There are dreams that break and you have to pick up the little bits off the floor and put yourself back together, and be an example for my kids too.”

Shakira concluded, “Now I have more confidence in myself. I didn’t know that I could eventually become strong. I always thought I was more vulnerable. It’s true I have a little bit of everything, but you have to have faith.’
The couple saved their two children a damaging legal battle by confirming last November that they had reached a custody agreement after protected negotiations and signing the agreement in a Barcelona court the following month.
Veteran family lawyer Ramon Tamborero, who represented the ex-footballer in his negotiations with the Colombian artist, insisted: “They made a huge effort for the well-being of their children, making sure they were not the protagonists. Both have shown great intelligence.’
Last month, Gerard and Clara made their Instagram relationship official, with the sportsman hugging his new love, 23, in a happy selfie – which quickly racked up a million likes.

Drama! It was reported that Shakira learned of Gerard’s cheating through a jar of strawberry jam she found in the fridge, which she references in her new video.
The decision to take their romance to his social media comes after Shakira slammed Clara in her new diss track that has since topped Spotify’s Global Charts.
Shakira reportedly realized her ex-boyfriend had been unfaithful when she discovered that a jar of strawberry jam had been eaten in her absence.
The hitmaker then referenced the strawberry jam in a music video for her single Te Felicito back in April, which featured a clip of her collaborator Raw Alejandro’s head in an open refrigerator.
According to ToonNews TodayShakira knew that Gerard and their two sons Sasha and Milan didn’t like strawberry jam, so she suspected someone else was staying at their house when she found the jar.
