MANILA, Philippines – Officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group and Muntinlupa City Police arrested two persons for possession of illegal methamphetamine or “shabu” on Friday evening.
The suspects were identified as James Regonay and Dante Cleofe, both residents of Muntinlupa City.
Authorities found a plastic bag containing 25 grams of shabu, two other plastic containers containing an estimated 500 grams of shabu, a cell phone, two coin bags, drug paraphernalia and scam money.
The total value of the seized drugs is estimated at approximately 3.5 million euros.
The illegal drugs were handed over to the PNP Forensic Group at Camp Crame while the suspects are in the custody of the Muntinlupa City Police.
The two will face criminal charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
