On November 17, 2010, we said Seymour Pierce Ltd had held talks with rival companies about possible merger talks following concerns about its capital position.
We now accept that the investment bank has at all times maintained a regulatory capital position well above its minimum requirement and has not held discussions with rival firms about a merger or finding a partner.
We apologize and are happy to set the record straight.
