A sex worker has been told that her bank accounts will be closed due to the & # 39; risk & # 39; s in certain industries or professions & # 39 ;.
Charlie Forde, 30, has been working at NAB for three years and was completely transparent about what she did for her work when opening an account.
& # 39; When I first entered their branch, I was very open with them & # 39 ;, Forde told Daily Mail Australia.
& # 39; I told them that I was working in the adult industry and that they were really in favor of it, the manager said there would be no problem with that. & # 39;
However, last month Ms Forde received a letter with the text: & # 39; NAB regularly assesses the risks to the bank associated with providing banking services to customers involved in certain industries or professions & # 39 ;.

Last month Mrs Forde received a letter in the e-mail stating that NAB no longer provided her services (photo)
& # 39; As a result of these assessments, NAB has chosen to no longer offer you banking services. & # 39;
Mrs. Forde, she was shocked when she received the letter and said it was & # 39; crazy & # 39; was to think that this & # 39; level of discrimination & # 39; occurs with a job that is legal in Australia.
& # 39; I think we are proud of ourselves as a democratic free country and as Aussies we have this recognition worldwide because we are warm and accept people & # 39 ;, said the 30-year-old.
& # 39; But our laws continuously allow companies like NAB to create clauses that allow them to essentially reject things that are as essential as a business account. & # 39;
& # 39; I find it very offensive because I pay taxes, just like everyone else. & # 39;
Mrs. Forde said it was daunting to let NAB look at her business and let them decide that she should not run the business.
Despite how shocked and disgusting she is, Mrs. Forde said that this is not the first time it has happened.
& # 39; The problem is that it is very common, I had a similar situation with PayPal last year, where they said exactly the same as NAB, & # 39; she said.
Mrs. Forde, she was shocked when she received the letter and said it was & # 39; crazy & # 39; was to think that this & # 39; level of discrimination & # 39; occurs with a job that is legal in Australia
The young woman said she has heard hundreds of stories from other women working in the adult film industry and in similar situations.
& # 39; I have heard that girls go to branches to do business and end their day with two bodyguards standing ominously over them while the branch literally closes their accounts before their eyes. It's terrible, & she said.
Mrs. Forde thinks it is strange that she was so open at the bank from the start to close her account now.
& # 39; I find it bizarre that something can change from one day to the next, where my company has not changed, but only they and their level of discrimination have changed, & # 39; she said.
& # 39; It's a completely legal task, but this kind of situation makes people feel scared to just live a life and make money. & # 39;
Ms. Forde said it was daunting to let NAB look at her business and let them decide that she should not run the business
Although Forde thinks NAB's reasoning for closing the bill is because they think the mature industry & # 39; high risk & # 39; is when it comes to fraud and reversal for bank transactions, but she said this is not the case.
& # 39; I have worked in this industry for five years and no one has ever reversed a transaction or committed fraud against me, it is a very safe industry to work in, even from a business perspective, & # 39 ;, Forde said.
In the future, the 30-year-old is investigating what her options will be, but & # 39; wants to open the door to NAB & # 39; and give them a chance to respond.
& # 39; What I find at many banks is that they have clauses that are friendly to sex workers, but it is not something that their staff are sufficiently informed, & # 39; she said.
& # 39; So although I don't want to fully blame the bank, I think they should train their people more. & # 39;
Daily Mail Australia has contacted NAB for comments.
