Seven children were rushed to hospital after a horrific accident involving a daycare van in Alabama.
The collision took place around 7:30 a.m. near Kermit Johnson Elementary School in Pinson.
The children were taken to Alabama Children’s Hospital. The exact nature of his injuries is unknown.
Dramatic images of the aftermath show the mangled van wrapped around a tree.
The driver of the vehicle had to be rescued from the accident scene by firefighters. WVTM reports.
They suffered minor injuries and were taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. It is not yet known which daycare center the van belongs to.
The children’s injuries were described as non-life threatening by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. CBS 42 reports.
Emergency services remain at the scene and are urging motorists to avoid the area.
