Sky Sports was forced to halt its coverage of the final day of the match away to Stamford Bridge after a well-known prankster approached the camera with a sex toy.

The stunt, which has gone viral on social media, took place as reporter Kaveh Solhekol was providing updates on the potential Chelsea deal before the window closed.

Solhekol was speaking about Jadon Sancho’s potential move from Manchester United to Chelsea when a man was seen walking from behind and approached to wave the sex toy in the journalist’s face.

He attempted to stop the man from appearing on camera before another individual led the prankster away before Sky Sports returned to the studio and apologised.

YouTube prankster ‘Jarvo69’, real name Daniel Jarvis, claimed responsibility on social media, posting on X: ‘Pranking Sky Sports News live with a couple of idiots!’

Jarvis has been behind several viral pranks over the years, having crashed the Olympics closing ceremony earlier this month.

One of their most high-profile pranks came during the BBC’s coverage of Wolves vs Liverpool in January 2023, when Gary Lineker and the pundits were left embarrassed when sexual noises interrupted them in the studio for over 10 minutes.

It was later revealed that Jarvis had managed to perform the trick by taping a telephone to the back of the studio.

The same prankster was at it again last month when sexual noises interrupted the Euro 2024 draw in December.

Former Manchester City star David Silva and much of the audience were stunned when the sounds began to be heard, with everyone seemingly powerless to stop them.

Jarvis had previously been known for pitch invasions, including one in which he collided with England batsman Jonny Bairstow and was convicted of aggravated trespassing in 2022.
