Quinn, in her appearance Monday, explained the circumstances behind her contact with police last month, when she accused Richard of throwing a bag with a glass bottle at her that hit her son.
“I reported these acts of abuse to the authorities,” she said, “because they were true and because I feared for our safety.”
Police told Page Six that in the incident, “the suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missing the victim but striking the victim’s son, causing injuries.”
The boy was treated for his injuries at a nearby hospital, another source told Page Six.
Quinn said she hopes to take her son to her home state of Texas if she is granted full physical and legal custody, the outlet reported, citing court documents, and that Richard will be “restricted from any visitation” with her son.
Quinn told the court that last week Richard had been trying to manipulate and deceive her and her lawyers by falsely claiming that her mother, Nancy Dumontet, had suffered a heart attack.
Quinn told the court that Nancy Dumontet “did not suffer a heart attack” and that Richard had attempted to “exploit a family member’s false medical condition… to manipulate me, my lawyers and even his own.”
Quinn said in legal documents: “I am extremely concerned that Christian will do whatever is necessary, including extensive emotional manipulation, as a means to monitor my activity while the restraining order is in effect.”
