The newly engaged actress, 32, didn’t shy away from talking about her love life as she reflected on “probably” having “too many crushes” when she was younger.

‘Jesse McCartney, when Beautiful Soul came out, that changed my life. I loved Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. “I also liked real life more than actors or musicians,” he gushed.

The Lose You to Love Me hitmaker, who recently accepted record producer Benny Blanco’s proposal after more than a year of dating, went on to note that their “first kiss was on TV.”

‘I was 11 or 12 years old and I guest starred on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, starring Dylan and Cole Sprouse. It was with Dylan and it was a lot of fun because we were both very young. We were discovering how to kiss. I had never done it and I was very scared,” she told the outlet.

Gomez noted that she didn’t have her first “one in real life” until she was 14 with a “boy named Juan.”

In 2020, she joked that kissing Sprouse was “one of the worst days” of her life because she had such a crush on Dylan’s twin brother, Cole.

“I thought we were going to be together,” Gomez said on The Kelly Clarkson Show of the Riverdale star.

Selena, who had not yet begun appearing in her own Disney show, Wizards of Waverly Place, played Gwen, a classmate who had to make out with one of the leads in the school play.

“I actually leaned in to kiss him, closed my eyes too soon and ended up missing like half of his lips,” she told Twist Magazine in the on-screen kiss. “So it ended up being the most awkward kiss ever.”

During her interview for W Magazine, the performer also spoke about what attracted her to the Spanish-language musical thriller Emilia Pérez, for which she is nominated for a Golden Globe.

‘Pure curiosity. I love working with amazing filmmakers; That’s usually what attracts me the most. When I read the script, I thought it was extremely thought-provoking, visceral and innovative. But some movies may not turn out that way. “I really felt that Audiard is so spectacular that the film was in very good hands,” she enthused.

The Wizards of Waverly Place alum also said she was “extremely proud to speak Spanish” in the film.

‘I was nervous, but I had already released a full album in Spanish before. “I feel more comfortable singing in Spanish, so doing a full movie was a little intimidating,” she admitted.

Gómez also confessed to loving her character’s blonde hair.

‘I loved the blonde; In fact, I really like the blonde in me. Many people don’t do it. The wig was amazing. It took me about 80 hours to make it to match my hairline and to get everything exact,’ she said of her hair transformation.

As for whether the Grammy nominee has any discomfort, she admitted that it bothers her when people “arrive late.”

‘I don’t like how people treat others if they treat me differently. I notice those things very quickly. Because I have lovely people in my life that have nothing to do with the industry, and I really pay attention to how people treat my friends and the people around me,” he added.

“The ring features an incredible center marquise cut diamond, about 8 carats, set on a yellow gold pave band.”

Taylor added: “The marquise cut, with its elongated, pointed shape, is a striking choice, known for its shine and the way it elongates the finger, creating a striking and elegant look.”

“The pave band, with its continuous row of smaller diamonds set closely together, adds an extra layer of sparkle and luxury, beautifully complementing the center marquise diamond.”

‘This configuration maximizes the brightness of the overall design while maintaining a sense of sophistication.

“The center diamond is likely to be of exceptional quality, with VVS1 clarity and a colorless grading in the DF range. I estimate the ring is worth more than £800,000 ($1 million), depending on the precise specifications of the diamond.

The engagement also pays homage to Selena’s 2015 hit song titled Good For You, where she notably sings the lyrics: “I’m on my marquise diamonds / I’m a marquise diamond / I might even make that Tiffany jealous.”

The couple’s romance was confirmed almost a year earlier, in December last year, but the pair had already been dating for six months at that point.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter Last month, Selena opened up about her budding romance with Blanco.

‘This is the most secure I have ever felt in (a relationship) and I see a future with this person. And when you put in a little effort, people don’t want to hunt you as much.”

The singer then explained that there are aspects of their relationship that fans “don’t see,” as the couple mostly keeps their romance out of the public eye.
