“The myth of beauty – an obsession with physical perfection that traps the modern woman in an endless cycle of despair, self-consciousness and self-hatred as she attempts to achieve the impossible definition of perfect beauty of society,” she explained.
Gomez told the outlet that she previously struggled with body image issues after undergoing an uncomfortable photo shoot, where she realized she no longer had a “teenage body.”
“None of the sample sizes were suitable, and it would embarrass me,” she explained.
“But is it unrealistic to expect that a normal woman’s body won’t change?”

“There were those times when I didn’t feel positive about my appearance because of what I saw on Instagram. “Wow, I wish my body looked like that.”
The artist, known for her unfeigned openness regarding her mental health, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2020.
“I went through a really difficult season. It was my ups and downs, and I didn’t know what to do, so I couldn’t control them,” she told the publication.

Gomez told the outlet that she previously struggled with body image issues after undergoing an uncomfortable photo shoot, where she realized she no longer had a “teenage body.”
“I would like to cancel things. It was just a tormented feeling.
“That’s why when I found out about my (bipolar) diagnosis, I just thought, ‘Oh, okay, I feel a little relieved, I understand a little more.’
“I got a second opinion. I went to the doctors. I am lucky to have people who can help me survive each day.

“None of the sample sizes were suitable, and it would embarrass me,” she explained. “But is it unrealistic to expect that a normal woman’s body won’t change?”
