An unmarked New York Police vehicle was stripped of its tires and left on cinder blocks in the South Bronx after being stolen for three days.
The Ford Taurus, part of the Bronx Special Victims Unit, was last parked outside a local supermarket at East 167 and Fox Streets on Tuesday.
Investigators ‘pinged’ the vehicle’s location on Friday and found the discarded vehicle outside a laundromat by the Bronx River, the New York Post reports.

Photos show the conditions the Taurus was left in, with the car’s fender and tires missing and it sitting on the cinder blocks.
Inside the vehicle, the seats are no longer present and most of them look like they were destroyed or ripped from the unmarked vehicle.
However, the steering wheel has been left behind.
According to a law enforcement source familiar with the incident, the car has had a flat body and is located on the Eerie Basin Tow Pound.
Authorities are investigating the theft of the vehicle.
