Tyler Hoechlin has worked hard on filming the first season of The CW’s Superman & Lois in Vancouver.
And the 33-year-old Road To Perdition breakout star was seen slipping into a retro superman suit this week while shooting scenes with co-star Bitsie Tulloch, 40, this week.
While the series is currently on hiatus until May 18, the premiere was one of the top five most-streamed CW shows and a second season has already been tapped.

Tyler’s more classic superman suit is different from the other more modern suit he filmed in, with a few noticeable differences in detail.
This suit has a black logo background instead of yellow, and comes with the belt attached to red hot pants – while the other only has a loose belt.
In a statement, Hoechlin had spoken of the modernized costume as “representative of the show.”
‘I think the new suit is representative of the show. Just as this suit is unique and distinct from those that preceded it, the story we tell about Clark / Superman at this point in his life is unique and something we’ve never seen before, ”he said.

Superman & Lois is different from others in the DC universe in that this is the audience’s first time to see the characters as parents, with Tulloch saying it ‘sets the story as a whole’ apart, speaking to Collider.

This is the first time you see Lois and Clark as parents, at least on screen, and not just parents, but parents of two children. I know in the comics it’s just the one, Jonathan Kent, and not a young kid like how we have teenagers. That certainly makes the story as a whole unique, ‘she shared.
And on the responsibility of wearing the famous superhero suit, Tyler said it’s “everyone’s,” not just his.
‘I appreciate the opportunity to wear the suit and the responsibility that comes with it. But it is always interesting when I am asked how I feel about “my new suit” because I have always felt that the suit is not mine; it belongs to everyone who finds meaning in that suit, in the symbol on the chest. I’m just the one wearing it. ‘
