It’s that time of year when everyone sees green. And like clockwork, Krispy Kreme springs into action.
The donut chain announced Thursday the launch of four new “gold-themed” donuts and the return of its original green glazed donut, with a chance to get one free.
Now available at participating US locations, the St. Patrick’s Day 2023 Lineup includes a Golden Cookies & Kreme donut, described as a “Kreme-filled donut shell with golden cookie dipped in white icing and topped with golden cookie pieces and a mixture of golden sprinkles.”
The Hat O’ Gold Donut is a chocolate glazed donut with a green checkered frosting pattern and topped with a sugar elf hat.
Krispy Kreme’s new Golden Sprinkle Donut is an Original Glazed donut dipped in green icing and topped with a golden St. Paddy’s mix.
Finally, the Rainbow Kreme-Filled Donut is an unglazed shell filled with the company’s signature White Kreme. It’s then dipped in green frosting and topped with edible rainbow decoration, vanilla buttercream, and gold coin sprinkles.
And there’s a lucky break: Krispy Kreme fans dressed in green at a location on March 16 or 17 will also get a free Original Glazed Donut (which is green), with no purchase necessary.
The offer is valid for both in-store and self-service customers.
The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said its new line is also being delivered fresh to select grocery stores near Krispy Kreme stores as a special holiday 6-pack, including Chocolate Iced with St. Patrick’s Sprinkles Donut.
