A new video has captured the moment AFL star Josh Daicos showed off his romantic side (and once again basked in September glory) as he proposed to his glamorous girlfriend Annalise Dalins in Greece.
The footage shows the moment the Collingwood premiership player asked the biggest question of his life – and the backdrop was nothing short of stunning.
The news of the engagement broke on Sunday and was greeted with joy by the Magpies and several of Daicos’ teammates.
It will also go some way to making up for the fact that his team was unable to play in the finals in 2024, after winning the title just over 12 months ago.
His brother and fellow AFL star Nick Daicos posted ‘Hugeee’ in response to the Instagram adwith magpies Captain Darcy Moore chimed in with a ‘congratulations’.
His teammates, including Isaac Quaynor, Jack Crisp, Dan McStay, Oleg Markov and Tom Mitchell, also passed on their best wishes to the sporting power couple.
Brooke Warne, daughter of the late Australian cricket great Shane Warne, posted: “Congratulations lovers, so happy for you both.”
Daicos made his AFL debut in 2017 and has gone on to become one of the league’s top players, while his future wife Dalins works as a contract model for leading agency Vivien’s.

“I had butterflies in my stomach. I was very nervous, but Josh made it easy for me because he was so outgoing,” she said.
“We hit it off right away. Coffee dates soon turned into dinner dates.”
Speaking to News Corp about their blossoming romance, Dalins added: ‘It’s really nice that we’re both growing as individuals and also our relationship is growing.
“Over the last year we’ve just been recognizing all the small accomplishments because that’s what leads to the big ones.”
