Whenever two NFL teams gather for joint practices on the hottest days of August, it’s inevitable that tempers will flare at some point.

Monday’s practice between the Giants and the Detroit Lions was no exception.

At the start of Monday’s practice session, which is the first of two between the teams before Thursday’s preseason opener at MetLife Stadium, the Giants’ defense got into quite a mess with the Lions’ offense.
