Secret Service agent at center of Trump limo ‘lunge’ testimony meets January 6 panel AGAIN

Anthony Ornato (high-ranking White House official, who testified in dramatic testimony regarding former President Donald Trump’s conduct in an armored limousine on January 6), is returning to the House to meet with its January 6 panel.

Cassidy Hutchinson a former Mark Meadows aide testified that Ornato ran Trump’s security details before Trump tapped him White House deputy chief-of-staff for operations. Hutchinson claimed Ornato informed her of a clash at the ‘beast on January 6th.

Hutchinson claimed to lawmakers that Ornato told her that the former president was furious at Robert Engel, an agent who said he couldn’t drive to the Capitol. A crowd of MAGA supporters waited for Engel on the day of riot at the Capitol.

The development comes as the panel prepares to wrap up its business – with the new Republican majority vowing to shut down the probe after it takes over next year.

Anthony Ornato was the former White House deputy chief-of-staff and used to manage Donald Trump’s security detail. He was scheduled to meet with members of the House committee on Tuesday, January 6. Cassidy Hutchinson was a former White House aide who testified that he told him about an angry confrontation inside ‘the beast,’ which involved the former President.

Kellyanne Conway, an ex-White House senior advisor, was the panel’s guest Monday. 

She While she didn’t work in the White House in January 2021, The Washington Post reported that she called an adviser who was with Trump on the same day. She stated that she was joining others in calling Trump to urge his MAGA supporters not to stand down. 

Hutchinson testified that Ornato told her that Trump ‘lunged’ at Engel when he was refusing to take Trump to the Capitol – a statement that drew pushback the agency, with people close to the Secret Service saying the event didn’t happen.

Ornato, who was a member of the Secret Service until August, retired and moved to the private sector.

His appearance comes after Engel, the Secret Service agent who Trump  allegedly tried to assault on January 6, came before the select committee.

Sources said that Robert Engel met with lawmakers to discuss the matter. CNNHe was involved in Cassidy Hutchinson’s public testimony.

Former assistant to Mark Meadows, then-chief of staff, testified that Trump became violent with Engel after he refused to drive him to Washington with his supporters.

Engel was the head of Trump’s security team at that time. 

Hutchinson’s account was immediately doubted by allies of the former president. Engel never confirmed it or denied it publicly. reported that he has since left Washington, DC for a more manageable job in Tampa as the Secret Service field officer.

The meeting on Thursday is reported to be his first encounter with the committee since Hutchinson’s bombshell testimony in June. However, he spoke briefly before the hearing. reached out to the Secret Service and the committee for comments.

HeAccording to reports, he sat down with January 6 committee members for the first time since June’s testimony by Cassidy Hutchinson, a former White House staffer.

She recalled what happened when she returned to the White House after Trump’s Stop The Steal rally. Engel was ‘looking somewhat discombobulated. a little lost.

She said Tony Ornato, a former high-ranking Secret Service official who also served as Trump’s deputy chief of staff, told her: ‘Did you f***ing hear what happened in the Beast?’

‘Tony told me that the president had been under the impression that Mr. Meadows was still able to move the Capitol off-the-record. [Engel] Hutchinson added that Hutchinson had more information.

“So, after the president got into the car with Bobby, he believed that they were going to the Capitol.”

Hutchinson stated that Trump had apparently a’very strong, a very anger response’ to Engel’s plan to shoot it down. He also said they would be returning to White House.

Hutchinson Testified That She Was Told Trump Lunged For The Steering Wheel And For Engel When The Agent Refused To Drive Him To The Us Capitol Along With The Mob Of His Supporters Who Were Marching There

Hutchinson stated that Trump lunged at her for the steering wheel, Engel for Engel, and refused to take him to the US Capitol with the mob of supporters marching there.

‘The president said something to the effect of, I’m the f***ing president, take me up to the Capitol now,’ the former staffer said. “To which Bobby replied, sir. We have to return to the West Wing.

Hutchinson said that Trump then grabbed the steering wheel.

‘Mr. Engel grabbed his arm and said, “Sir, you need your hand off of the steering wheel.” We’re returning to the West Wing. She stated that we aren’t going to Capitol.

‘Mr. Trump then extended his left hand to reach for Bobby Engel. After Mr. Ornato had told me the story, Trump moved towards his clavicles.

The committee said it would release a final report detailing its findings, which focuses primarily on Trump, by year’s end. 

It held what was likely to be the final public hearing of the panel in September. 

Three of its members, including its Republicans, are guaranteed to not be returning to Congress next year.
