A cast member from Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has defended a “disgusting” incident from the hit Hulu series.
In an episode of the show, Whitney Leavitt decided to reveal the news of her third pregnancy to her family by serving them a cake containing her used pregnancy test.
While the novel approach certainly made for interesting television, many viewers were left dismayed by the 31-year-old’s decision to put the used ‘pee stick’ in the dessert.

‘Oh, of course I do! “We definitely all ate the cake,” he said.

‘I understand how people were like, “Ew.” Maybe people tried to stay away and not eat the pieces surrounding the test, but that cake was good. So yes, we ate the cake.
During the scene, Whitney’s younger sister Lexi was horrified when she discovered the test used inside the cake.
‘Oh my God, that’s disgusting. Why did you put that on the cake? -he screamed.
“I guess I didn’t really think it through completely, thoroughly, clearly,” Whitney tells producers, before adding, “But the lid is on!”
It comes after Whitney broke her silence over being portrayed as the villain of the hit Hulu series.
In a revealing interview with The squeeze On last week’s podcast, the 31-year-old criticized the show’s editing and accused one of her castmates of “sabotaging” her on camera.
During the scene, Whitney’s younger sister Lexi was horrified when she discovered the test used inside the cake.
Look, I covered him again. I removed Clorox from it before putting it on the cake. “It was clean,” Whitney later said.
She also said that the fallout from the series airing had left her in a “very dark place” and made it “hard to watch again.”
Despite criticizing some of the show’s editing, Whitney admitted that no one had forced her to do anything.
“There were decisions I made during that program that no one asked me to make,” he said.
‘I did it voluntarily, but there was no context behind why I had made certain decisions. But again, that’s the game, I guess.
