Sebastian Rogers’s mother claims she heard a ‘noise’ coming from his bedroom the night he vanished barefoot nearly a month ago as cops continue search for missing autistic teen

In a new interview, the mother of missing 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers said she heard a “noise” coming from her son’s bedroom the night before he disappeared, almost a month ago.

Sebastian, an autistic teenager, reportedly left his family’s home in Hendersonville, Tennessee, in the early hours of February 26.

The boy’s mother and stepfather, Katie and Chris Proudfoot, sat down for an interview with the YouTube channel Olivia Chronicles to share more details about Sebastian’s disappearance.

Katie said the day before he disappeared was an average day for their family, Sebastian took the trash to the end of their driveway as his chore, then around 9 p.m. she told him to go to bed.

“He was doing something in his room because about an hour later I heard a noise and I was like, ‘I don’t care what you’re doing in there, but go to sleep,'” Katie said.

“Six o’clock, I went to wake him up for school Monday morning, and that’s when he wasn’t there. »

Sebastian’s mother said: “I didn’t see him in his room. I looked everywhere. I went through the whole house. I looked through every door and window and felt like I was screaming his name.

“I jumped in my car, I drove around the neighborhood, I drove past the school and… at that point I was like hysterical, and I was crying, I was screaming.”

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said it has not given up the search for Sebastian.

“We have not forgotten Sebastian. Much of the work currently being done to bring Sebastian home is not necessarily public or visible,” the agency said.

“But agents, detectives and intelligence analysts continue to work around the clock to review every piece of information available. Sebastian’s family has remained cooperative since the search began and has done everything law enforcement has asked of them.

Police and volunteers searched the nearby woods blasting Eye of the Tiger, Sebastian’s favorite song.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said more than 2,000 miles were searched on foot and aerial searches took place with helicopters, drones and a fixed-wing aircraft.

His family said Sebastian was attracted to water and neighborhood swimming pools were searched and dive teams were brought in to search bodies of water.

Authorities analyzed security video from the Hendersonville neighborhood around 3:10 a.m. the day the teen disappeared.

The camera, placed at the rear of the house, captured two light sources in the distance and another light source named “Subject One” closer to the house.

Another light source named “Subject Two” can be seen appearing briefly in the footage and moving towards Subject One before being obscured by bushes.

A few seconds later, Subject One can be seen walking out of frame. Subject two then reappears in the video and follows subject one.

However, Sebastian’s stepfather insisted the video was not what it appeared to be. “Nothing that is currently being assumed is actually true about this video,” he told Chronicles of Olivia.

“Everyone tries to assume it’s a flashlight, I hate to say it’s not as much as we’d like it to be one, it’s not.”

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said: “The video was collected and, since the beginning of the investigation, has been analyzed and enhanced where possible by technical experts from the TBI, FBI and Secret Service. To date, nothing collected from these video systems has been deemed significant.

“We caution that some surveillance videos shared with the public may have been misinterpreted or misidentified, or not shown in their entirety.” It was determined that this has no probative value for the investigation.

Sebastian’s father, Seth Rogers, said his son would not ride in a stranger’s vehicle.

“It’s on hold for me. He wouldn’t get in a vehicle if he didn’t know them,” he said. NC5.

The struggling father said he was at his wits’ end and trying to understand what had happened to his son with no logical leads.

He said that Sebastian was not one to wander off and because of his experience as a young boy, he would never go far without shoes.

“He decided he wanted to get into a pile of what he thought was dirt. They were fire ants, and since then, he no longer likes to set foot in the ground. He likes to wear his shoes and socks,” he said. WTVF.
