Sebastian Rogers disappeared from his home in Hendersonville a month ago and the United Cajun Navy has now taken over the search.
Chris explained that the decision had been made so he could return to work, although Proudfoot admitted he will not return to work just yet.
The couple, along with Sebastian’s father, Seth, and an army of volunteers have been combing the area for the teenager since he went missing on February 26.
The Cajun Army has now taken over the search, employing drones and K9 units in an attempt to track him down.
The nonprofit organization made up of boat volunteers was formed after Hurricane Katrina to help search for survivors and has assisted with search and rescue ever since.
The group recently joined the search for missing University of Missouri student Riley Strain, whose body was pulled from the Cumberland River on Friday.
Police and volunteers have been searching the nearby woods playing Eye of the Tiger, which is Sebastian’s favorite song.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said more than 2,000 miles have been searched on foot and aerial searches have been conducted with helicopters, drones and a fixed-wing aircraft.
Sebastian was last seen by his mother going to bed after taking out the trash the night before he disappeared.
Her mother claimed she heard a “noise” coming from her bedroom that night.
“I was doing something in his room because about an hour later, I heard a noise and I was like, ‘I don’t care what you’re doing in there, but go to sleep,'” Katie said.

His father, Seth, has tirelessly searched for his son and said he missed work and got very little sleep while doing so.
“At six o’clock, I went to wake him up for school on Monday morning, and that’s when he wasn’t there.”
“I didn’t see him in his room. I looked everywhere. I ran all over the house. I looked in all the doors and windows and felt like I was screaming his name.
“I got in my car, drove around the neighborhood, passed the school and… at that point I was hysterical and crying, screaming.”
Officials analyzed home security video from the Hendersonville neighborhood around 3:10 a.m. the day the teen disappeared.
The camera, which was placed at the back of the house, captured two distant light sources and another light source called ‘Subject One’ closer to the house.
Another light source called ‘Subject Two’ can be seen appearing briefly in the footage and moving towards Subject One before being obscured by bushes.
A few seconds later, Subject One can be seen leaving the frame. Subject Two then reappears in the video and follows Subject One.
However, Sebastián’s stepfather insisted that the video is not what it seems. “Nothing that is assumed now is true about that video,” he told the YouTube channel. Olivia Chronicles.

“Everyone is trying to assume it’s a flashlight, I hate to say it’s not as much as we’d love it not to be.”
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said, “The video has been collected and, since the beginning of the investigation, has been analyzed and enhanced to the extent possible by technology experts from the TBI, FBI and Secret Service.” To date, nothing collected with these video systems has been determined to be significant.’

Seth said his son wouldn’t get into a stranger’s vehicle.
“For me it is in the air. “She wouldn’t get into a vehicle unless she knew them,” she told NC5.
The troubled father said he was at his wit’s end trying to figure out what happened to his son with no clues that made sense.
He said that Sebastian was not one to stray away and that, due to an experience as a child, he would never go far without shoes.
