A young twins who did not come home after an afternoon walk, searched on a large scale for her unexpected disappearance.

Felicity Shadbolt, a 36-year-old mother of two young daughters, was last seen around 11.30 am on Sunday morning in Pilbara, Western Australia.

She went hiking on Mount Nameless near Karijini National Park and walks regularly into the area, police say.

She is described as 150-155 cm tall, slim-built and with blond hair

Bad weather initially stopped the search but police and volunteers from Tom Price and Karratha searched the area on Monday.

Mrs. Shadbolt left the house with water, but the temperature reached more than 37 degrees in the area on Sunday.

A helicopter also searched from the air with the help of four horseback riders who were deployed to sweep the area for the missing mother.

Thunderstorms and lightning have put an end to the search that will start at 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning, a spokesman for the police said.

She is described as 150-155 cm tall, slim-built and has blond hair that is braided in two tails.

She is supposed to wear blue pants and a black T-shirt and is in possession of a bright light blue CamelBak hydration system.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 131 444.
