A manhunt is on after a heavily pregnant schoolteacher is found dead in her home in Glasgow.
The body of Marelle Sturrock, 35, was discovered at the property in the Craigton area of the city around 8.40am yesterday, after police received a ‘person care’ call.
Scotland Police confirmed the death is being treated as suspicious and linked to an ongoing search for a missing person – whom they have not identified – in Mugdock Country Park.
The aspiring actress and singer uploaded her latest photo on Sunday, which showed her enjoying dinner and smiling with her friends – who shared the photo on social media the night before her sudden death.
Police will remain present at both locations. As part of the search, officers, dog units and a helicopter were dispatched around 11 a.m. yesterday.

Scotland Police have launched an investigation and confirm the death is being treated as suspicious and linked to an ongoing search for a missing person
In a letter to families of students attending Sandwood Primary School, where Ms Sturrock worked, the school said: “It is with deep sadness that I must inform you of the sudden passing of Mrs. Sturrock, a beloved member of our teaching staff.
“I know this will come as a shock to our school community, and we will do everything we can to support children, staff and families during this difficult and challenging time.
“I hope you will understand that there are no other details I can share at this time, but I wanted to inform our families of the school’s tragic news.”
Detective Chief Inspector Cheryl Kelly said: ‘Our thoughts are with Marelle’s family and friends, as well as everyone affected by this tragic incident.
“We are offering her family support during this incredibly difficult time as our investigation to determine the full circumstances continues.”

Earlier Detective Chief Inspector Kelly said: ‘Officers have carried out extensive searches of Mugdock Country Park in connection with a missing person in the area.
“It is believed to be related to the death on Jura Street and the investigation is ongoing.
“Our thoughts are very much with everyone affected by this tragic incident. It is believed that there is no risk to the general public of any kind, but anyone with information or concerns can contact Scotland Police on 101, citing incident 0904 of 25 April.
“Police will remain at both locations as the investigation continues and anyone with information is also urged to speak to one of our officers.”
