Sean Penn took a smoke break while out in Malibu on Thursday.

The Mystic River star, 63, got his nicotine fix while running errands in the coastal community.

An American Spirit cigarette dangled from his mouth as he stood by the curb, looking relaxed.

The actor sported a full head of platinum white hair and kept his look extremely casual for the outing.

Sean, who recently dined at Giorgio Baldi, opted for a white V-neck shirt, black pants and worn-out sneakers.

Lately, fans have been able to see Sean in the comedy series C*A*U*G*H*T.

He will also star alongside Dakota Johnson in the drama Daddio, premiering May 23.

Sean made his film debut in the 1981 film Taps, which also starred George C. Scott, Timothy Hutton, Ronny Cox and Tom Cruise.

The actor won Oscars for his roles in the 2003 mystery drama Mystic River and the 2008 biopic Milk.

While Penn may be best known for his roles on the big screen, one good deed he did outside of the spotlight made headlines in January.

In January, Penn came to the aid of a journalist who needed help before the Golden Globes.

Variety reporter Marc Malkin suffered car trouble in Palm Springs before he was expected to cover the pre-Golden Globes party festivities later that day in Los Angeles, according to Page six.

But Malkin was able to get back on the road with the help of Penn and his publicist Mara Buxbaum.

Page Six reported that both Penn and Mara manually pushed the reporter’s electric car, which had lost power, toward a charger.

Malkin was forced to have his car towed to a charging station after it lost power, where he crashed into Penn and Mara.

The duo were there fueling their own vehicles.

“Marc looked one way and Sean Penn was loading his car, and he looked the other way and saw Mara Buxbaum (Penn’s longtime publicist) loading his car,” the source said.

Malkin’s vehicle was unable to charge and he ultimately decided to switch his vehicle to a different type of charger by putting it in neutral.

Penn’s publicist approached Malkin and asked if he needed help pushing the vehicle. “She said, ‘Do you need someone to push your car?'” a source said.

That’s when Malkin looked in the rearview mirror and saw “Penn was there pushing her car” with her publicist.

The article said Malkin was “dumbfounded” watching the duo move their car to a working charger.

“It was the most fun ever,” the source said. “Sean was a real-life hero.”

Thanks to Sean, Malkin did his homework at the Golden Globes pre-party earlier that day.
