Khloe Kardashian’s Good American company is reportedly being sued by a former employee for “wrongful termination.”

The former employee is said to have been hired as an intern at the clothing company Khloe Kardashian co-founded in 2019 and rose through the ranks several times in the years that followed.

But shortly after she asked to work from home following her cancer diagnosis in 2023, she was fired.

According to the Burst citing documents it says it obtained that the woman, whom the outlet declined to name, received “consistent positive reviews, promotions and raises” before being fired.

She was promoted to Marketing Coordinator around June 2021 and Social Media around June 2022, and received a raise both times.

A performance review conducted around February 2022 described the former employee as a “team player who gets the job done” and who performed “strongly under pressure.”

He further said that she was a “great multitasker” and an “asset to the team” as she was “hard-working, timely and dedicated” and “went above and beyond.”

The woman got another raise around February 2023 for her “continued good work.”

But later that year, in June, the employee, who had previously been diagnosed with cancer, provided her employer with a doctor’s note informing them that she was receiving care from medical professionals for her conditions.

Her doctor asked her to work from home because she was “immunely weakened, sick and had lung damage.”

A month later, she provided another medical note that she said was not well received by executives who allegedly commented negatively about her need for accommodations.

He said he was advised to take “medical leave from work” rather than asking to work remotely, since “those who work remotely do not do so to ‘go to the doctors’ or for medical needs,” but this was the case. for the former employee in the past, when she was previously diagnosed with cancer.

In September 2023, the woman submitted another medical note, in which her doctor urged her to work remotely “to limit physical contact with other people and avoid all respiratory infections.”

Despite previous “enthusiastic” reviews and repeated promotions and raises over the years, she was fired in October 2023.

Good American told the Blast this came as part of “company-wide layoffs” for a dozen workers, but the cancer patient claims she was fired due to her “medical condition (cancer).”

He is now suing his former employer for “wrongful termination” and the case is ongoing. MailOnline has contacted Good American and Khloe Kardashian’s representatives for comment.
