A screenwriter and military veteran says he fears the TV superproducer who he says sexually assaulted him has “already done it” and asked other potential victims to come forward.

“When you look at it in retrospect, everything to me seems to scream that I’m not the first one that he’s done this to… If you come forward, just know that you will be protected, your identity will be protected,” John Doe said. said NewsNation in an exclusive interview.

John Doe was the first to come forward with his allegations against Laurence Andries, 66, the producer behind hits including Alias, How to Get Away With Murder and Six Feet Under, earlier this month.

Andries has since been charged with sodomy, oral copulation and sexual penetration while the victim was unconscious due to drug use.

Doe then described the night he was allegedly sexually assaulted.

“I just went out with someone I thought was a friend… and I think he drugged one of my drinks… It’s like remembering the dream of a dream… I felt like being hit by a truck. My whole body felt like it had been bulldozed. I felt like I had literally been hit with a hammer.

In new interview, John Doe urged any other potential victims to come forward

Andries was behind television hits such as Six Feet Under, Blue Bloods and Supernatural.

“I trust everything about him. I felt like I could trust him. I really did it. But it was a friendship. I really thought we were friends,” Doe continued.

John Doe said that when he learned that Andries was previously a counselor at Camp Becket in western Massachusetts, he came to the conclusion that he was probably not the first victim.

Doe also said he has known Andries for ten years, with the producer serving as his mentor when he got involved in the industry.

“My whole life has been changed by this… I feel like he did something to me, that he’s sick, he violated something sacred in me,” Doe also said.

Hollywood veteran Andries was nominated for an Oscar in 1994 for his writing on the live-action short film Kangaroo Court.

He has also worked on other hit shows such as Alias, How to Get Away with Murder, Supernatural and Being Mary Jane.

Andries is an advisor to the Writers Guild Foundation, where he also served as vice president of programming, according to their website.

Many veterans turned writers have already posted about Andries, describing him as a beloved mentor on social media.

Freelance writer Adam Korenman praised Andries in a 2019 article.
