Scottie Scheffler has reportedly committed to next weekend’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, according to Ron Kroichick of the San Francisco Chronicle. The event will mark Scheffler’s return to the PGA Tour after puncturing his right hand while preparing Christmas dinner.

The injury prompted minor surgery to remove “small shards of glass” from the palm of his hand, according to Scheffler’s agent.

Scheffler, the reigning PGA Tour Player of the Year, hasn’t played competitively in more than a month; He last played at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas on December 8 and at LIV vs. PGA Tour Showdown with Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka and Bryson. DeChambeau on December 17 in Las Vegas.

The injury caused Scheffler to miss the first three tournaments of the 2025 season. His initial plan after the incident was to open his year at PGA West in Southern California last week, but he withdrew, citing the need for more playing time. recovery.

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am features an 80-player field, the largest among the PGA Tour’s flagship events. Scheffler finished tied for sixth in last year’s tournament after weather forced the event to be shortened to 54 holes.

Scheffler is coming off a dominant year on Tour last season. He won seven times, including at the Masters and the Players Championship, and won the Tour Championship to end the season. He won his third consecutive Player of the Year award, something only Tiger Woods has done. Scheffler did not miss a cut in his 19 Tour starts, and finished outside the top 10 only once in his 13 starts before the US Open in June.
