- Parker called his way to have ‘cool heads’ and ‘laser focus’ throughout the game
Scott Parker has called on his players to be brave for their now or never encounter with relegation rival Burnley.
The pressure is on Fulham, who is nine points from safety with four games to go, after letting a series of opportunities to improve their survival expectations slip through their fingers.
Parker’s host Burnley, the team above them, who know that only victory will suffice if they want to have any shot at what would surely be the greatest escape from top-tier relegation. Lose and Fulham are down.
Scott Parker said his Fulham players must be ‘brave’ to beat Burnley and avoid relegation
“They’ll have to be brave,” Parker said. ‘Not just brave players, but players in those moments that can be really clinical.
‘Players who can live from that one moment when that moment is executed. Courage and a cool head with a laser focus that can be performed.
‘We play against a team that is nine points behind us. Can we bring that to six points with three more games to play, if the results are to our liking?

“This is the pressure that comes with being in our position.”
While Parker isn’t hiding from what’s at stake, he refuses to think about next season, while Fulham still has hope in this season, minor as it may be.
He said, ‘I just have the focus now – we have to beat Burnley. And whatever anyone else is doing, my main focus is “Can we win this soccer game?”
“Of course, if it fails, there are conversations we will all have.”
