Online trolls have once again launched vile attacks on the Prime Minister’s daughters, just days before the federal election.
The family has regularly been the target of cruel online jibes, including one from comedian Magda Szubanski which Morrison’s wife, Jenny, said was the most harrowing personal attack on her since she became Australia’s first lady.
In the latest attack, a troll said he doesn’t like to “criticize appearances” and then does exactly that.
She shared a photo of the Prime Minister with Jenny and daughters Abbey and Lily at the Liberal campaign launch on Sunday.
‘I’m not one to criticize appearances, but why do @ScottMorrisonMP’s women always dress like the Amish? (Serious question)’, the troll wrote.

This is followed by another tweet, so horrible that Daily Mail Australia has decided not to publish it.
However, the tactic of using offensive personal attacks against children instead of addressing government policies did not impress others on social media.
‘Oh, it still bothers the children. What a class,’ one person responded.
“What the hell is wrong with people?” said another.
Others said ‘leave those kids alone’ and ‘leave the kids out of this’.
Another spoke for many saying, “I don’t think anyone who behaves like that should be advising anyone at all.”
The latest attack comes after Mrs Morrison revealed in February that the most distressing personal attack against her since her husband became Prime Minister was a tweet from Kath and Kim star Magda Szubanski.
The comedian took to Twitter last year to compare a photo of Mrs Morrison and the Prime Minister signing a book of condolence for Prince Philip with the religious extremists featured in Margaret Atwood’s popular novel and TV series, The Handmaid’s Tale .
Comedian Magda Szubanski retweeted a photo of Mrs Morrison watching her husband sign a book of condolence for the late Prince Philip, captioning the image: “I really thought this was a Photoshopped Handmaid’s Tale meme.” But not. ‘It’s 21st century Australian life’
Margaret Atwood’s 1985 classic is set in a totalitarian state called Gilead, where unmarried women are kept as sexual slaves for reproductive purposes, while married women are only taught to sew and bow to the whim of their powerful husbands. During an interview with 60 Minutes’ Karl Stefanovic, Ms. Morrison said Szubanski had taken things “too far.”
She said she had learned to deal with criticism since her husband became the nation’s leader, but this particular tweet took her by surprise.
“I can take a joke, like I can take a joke,” he said.
‘I’ve had to be independent and strong because of the life I live with Scott. But sometimes it’s like, really?
Szubanski doubled down on his comments, saying they were drawing attention to his belief that elements of “far-right” Christian conservatism are increasingly present in politics.
Following the tweet, Ms Szubanski doubled down on her comments, saying they were a mild way of drawing attention to the fact that she believes elements of “far-right” Christian conservatism are increasingly present in politics.
“That was a gentle way of drawing attention to the fact that I have concerns, and believe me, it’s not about the majority of Christians, it’s about the far-right element,” he told A Current Affair.
‘And, now they’re really going to come for me, I think that’s a cause for concern.
‘I think it’s quite legitimate to say that in this country. I don’t like extremes of any kind, that’s my stance.’
There have also been attacks on Mr Morrison’s children with recent allegations that Posting a photo of him making curry with 13-year-old Lily was just a publicity stunt.
After posting a photo of them making a chicken and eggplant curry, the post was soon flooded with comments saying it was actually taken years earlier.
Morrison regularly posts photographs of himself preparing Indian or Asian-inspired food in Kirribilli House’s industrial kitchen.
Victorian Senator Jane Hume took to Twitter to defend the Prime Minister, saying: “If you are one of the people here attacking the Prime Minister’s daughter, for whatever reason, it’s time you took a hard look at yourself.”
‘It is shameful. Imagine that was your son. Abuse is not an acceptable point, much less of children. Be better.’
While most of the comments on Morrison’s Facebook page attacked him and not his daughter, some also took aim at Lily.
Scott Morrison (pictured left) posted this photo of him with his daughter Lily (right) cooking a curry on Facebook, but the pair quickly found themselves the subject of comments from online trolls.
“It’s funny because it’s an omelette that the child made and the curry came to take away,” said another.
Other commenters criticized how Morrison and his wife Jenny’s daughters, Lily and Abbey, 11, dressed in a recent family photo.
‘Seriously, who are these people? “This is one step away from the Amish,” wrote a woman whose Twitter bio says she believes in “justice.”
Some called the woman “creepy” for her comments about children’s fashion sense.
Scott and Jenny Morrison (pictured on their wedding day) recently celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary.

‘I think a prime minister is fair game. The fashion choices of his children (who are REAL children) not so much. In fact, this transcends creepiness,” wrote one respondent.
‘What’s with adults being weird to kids and them on Twitter?’ said another.
Many online commenters claimed that Lily looks younger in the cooking photo than in other recent photos, although that perception may simply be due to the angle at which Morrison took the selfie.
‘That photo of your daughter was taken at least a couple of years ago. The photo of her from Australia Day shows her much taller and more mature. Even your pictures are a lie,” one wrote.
‘That photo of Lily is four years old… When do you stop lying?’ said another.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Mr Morrison’s office for comment for this story.
