‘Covid or no Covid, it’s not cool’: Scott Morrison chides Caitlyn Jenner for tapping a cigarette off her balcony while in hotel quarantine in Sydney
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been questioned again about Caitlyn Jenner after the US reality star was caught throwing a cigarette butt off a balcony while in a hotel quarantine in Sydney.
Mr Morrison spoke of The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday about the Covid vaccine rollout when host Kyle Sandilands asked him for his thoughts on Daily Mail Australia’s exclusive photos of Jenner smoking a day earlier.
Jenner, 71, who is in Australia to star on Channel Seven’s Big Brother VIP, risked a small fine by throwing her cigarette on the street below, and the Prime Minister suggested NSW police could investigate.

‘Covid or no Covid, it’s not cool’: Prime Minister Scott Morrison (pictured Wednesday) has been questioned again about Caitlyn Jenner after the US reality star was caught throwing a cigarette butt off a balcony while in hotel quarantine in Sydney
“Caitlin Jenner is here for Celebrity Big Brother and was seen throwing a cigarette off a balcony into the street,” Sandilands said. “The Covid cigarette.”
“Would she be fined for something like that?” asked co-host Jackie O’ Henderson.
‘I’d have to leave that to the New South Wales police and their rules,’ replied Mr Morrison.
Henderson added: ‘She is smoking a cigarette in the street. What if that lands on someone?’ added Henderson.
Litter: Jenner, 71, who is in Australia to star on Channel Seven’s Big Brother VIP, risked a small fine by throwing her cigarette on the street below, and the Prime Minister suggested NSW police could investigate
“Covid or no Covid, it’s not cool,” said Mr Morrison. “I don’t think people should sweep cigarettes off balconies anyway.”
He then brought up far-right commentator Katie Hopkins, another Big Brother contestant, who was evicted Monday for threatening to violate the quarantine.
“You know we had that visitor from the UK, she broke the rules and she’s gone,” he said.
It comes after Mr Morrison was caught off guard by… Nova 919Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton earlier in the week when asked about Jenner’s arrival in Australia.
The hosts wondered why the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star had been let into the country while thousands of Aussie citizens are stranded abroad, seemingly stunned the Prime Minister.
“With the whole country on lockdown, ScoMo, how did Caitlin Jenner get in?” one of the presenters asked.
Asking the tough questions: Scott Morrison was momentarily lost when Nova 919 hosts Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton (pictured) put him on the spot on another Caitlin Jenner issue
There was a long silence before the Prime Minister replied, “Sorry?”
“Caitlin Jenner, she’s up for Big Brother VIP. How did she get in?’ he was then asked.
“Oh, that would have happened to the various states, I suppose, and going through a pretty lengthy exemption process,” Mr Morrison replied.
Storm: The Nova presenters specifically wondered why the reality TV star was allowed to fly to Australia as stranded citizens are trapped abroad and the Prime Minister is seemingly stunned
“That’s not something I can give you details about,” he added.
Harvey and Stapleton joked about how they thought someone like Jenner should have personally called the Prime Minister to “get in.”
Morrison stuttered at the suggestion of an American celebrity getting special treatment, then replied, “That’s… that’s taken on other levels.”
‘That’s not something I could give you details on’: Morrison referred the hosts to the ‘various states’ about Jenner’s exemption and said he could not provide further information
