Scooter Braun mocked his enemy Taylor Swift with a dig at her star-studded party in Rhode Island last weekend

Scooter Braun trolled his enemy Taylor Swift with a dig at her star-studded party in Rhode Island last weekend.

The now-retired music manager, 43, who has been embroiled in a feud with Swift, 34, for years, took to Instagram to reveal that he had watched Max’s documentary about their breakup, Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood.

Taking a swipe at her celebrations at her mansion with friends including Blake Lively and Channing Tatum, she shared an article about the party, with the caption: “How did I not get invited to this?”

This was followed by the hashtag “Have a laugh.”

As DailyMail.com reported, Taylor and Travis Kelce hosted their closest friends and children at the singer’s mansion over the weekend to celebrate actress and Taylor’s best friend Lively’s 37th birthday.

Braun was infamously embroiled in a controversy with Swift after the music mogul purchased her master recordings from Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta in 2019.

In a June 2019 Tumblr post, Swift expressed her disappointment over the high-profile transaction.

“Essentially, my musical legacy is about to be handed over to someone who tried to dismantle it,” Swift said.

“For years I asked and begged for a chance to own my work. Instead, I was given the opportunity to re-sign with Big Machine Records and ‘earn’ one album at a time, one for every new one I delivered.”

Nearly a year and a half later, Braun sold the master recordings for more than $300 million.

Swift has said she intends to re-record her first six albums, having released the albums Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version) and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and 1989 (Taylor’s Version).

In June, Braun released a statement announcing the end of his “chapter” as a music manager as he embarks on his new role as a member of Hybe’s board of directors and CEO of Hybe America.

His statement begins like this: “23 years ago, a 19-year-old boy began representing an artist named Cato in Atlanta, Georgia, and so began my journey. Along the way, I have had so many experiences that I could never have dreamed of.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to live a Forrest Gump-esque life, witnessing and participating in the journeys of some of the most extraordinarily talented people the world has ever seen. I constantly pinch myself and ask myself, ‘How did I get here?’ And after 23 years, this chapter as a music manager has come to an end.”

News of Scooter’s retirement comes after he lost clients including Ariana Grande, Carly Rae Jepsen and Demi Lovato.

Scooter, who shares three children with ex-wife Yael Cohen, cited his children as the main reason he decided to leave the business.

‘For my entire adult life, I played the role of a 24/7 artist manager. And for 20 years, I loved it. It was all I knew. But as my children grew up and my personal life took a few hits, I realized that my children were three superstars that I wasn’t willing to lose. The sacrifices I was once willing to make could no longer be justified. It was time to take on a new role.’

Braun then talked about his next career move: becoming CEO of Hybe America last year. Variety Last year it was reported that Braun became the company’s sole CEO.

“In this new chapter, I have been honored to join Hybe’s board of directors and serve as CEO of Hybe America. My brilliant partner for the past three years, Chairman Bang, has a vision that I truly believe in. But beyond that, he has become a true friend who understands where I need to be in my life these days. And that is, father first, CEO second, and nothing more than a manager.”

He reflected on his incredible career working alongside some of the biggest names in music, including Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.

“Justin and Ariana were teenagers when I started working with them,” she wrote. “Watching them grow into the legends they are today will be one of my greatest honors. As we evolve our working relationships, I will continue to support them with the same passion as I did in each of their humble beginnings.

“I remember the banter and the water park performances with Justin, and the first time Ari opened a stadium tour and his excitement at the side of the stage. I remember when they both stepped up for each other and I got to witness how each of them changed the world and made history. There will never be a day where I don’t feel proud and honored by what we accomplished together. The same can be said for so many others who I’ve had the pleasure of having called me ‘manager.'”

Braun’s statement also alluded to controversies he faced during his time as a music manager, though he did not name them specifically.

‘There’s been a lot of talk about what’s happening in our company… and in my career. When we were successful I smiled, and when we were attacked I always tried to take the high road.

‘But over the past three years I have begun to feel that taking the easy way out has created confusion and ambiguity as to who we are. I may have left my position in management, and my business relationship with many clients will shift and change, but this does not mean that we, as a company, are going away.

‘Both Allison Kaye and Jennifer McDaniels are more than capable of leading, and as we combine new resources, the opportunities with their leadership are endless. These two incredibly powerful women will now take on a role that I know will become the most impressive female-led management business our industry has ever seen. While my name may have been on the door all these years, the truth is there is no one as brilliant as Allison Kaye, and few can manage with the grace and poise of Jen McDaniels.’

He continued, “At Hybe, we will continue to grow. With the addition of QC to Hybe America and our existing business at Big Machine, we will continue to add incredible executives and artists to the roster. Our WeVerse platform and growing gaming unit is something the entire industry can celebrate and get on board with. Having the opportunity to be the A&R and executive producer for Jung Kook’s solo career last summer, and to work with the other members of BTS as we break world records, has been an absolute honor.”

“With new artists like NewJeans, TXT, LE SSERAFIM, Seventeen, ILLIT, The Scarlet Opera, Ava Max, and many other new artists and startups, the future is bright. I am honored to join Chairman Bang and Jiwon Park as we grow HYBE from the multi-billion dollar publicly traded company it is today to the global multi-faceted entertainment platform it is destined to be. With Hybe going from strength to strength, I also look forward to continuing to invest in a new generation of entrepreneurs and serving as a national board member for Make A Wish and helping individuals and communities through our family’s Braun Foundation. Between all of this and raising my kids, I’m not worried about being busy :).”

‘So yes, it’s been 23 years. And yes, this chapter has come to an end. But the great Berry Gordy once told me, “Young man, it never ends the way you want it to, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.” That wisdom has proven to be correct. I never saw how this chapter would end, heck, I didn’t even see it happen. But it did happen. And I will treasure every moment of it. I made my plan… but it turns out I like God’s plan better. Cheers!’

The announcement comes after Braun split from Grande after more than a decade in December 2023.

Grande signed a new management deal with Brandon Creed of Good World Management, but will continue to work with Braun’s entertainment platform, HYBE.

Braun remains Justin Bieber’s top manager.

Bieber, one of Scooter’s biggest artists, was also reported to have left him in August, but the Sorry singer’s reps denied he left Braun last year, noting they had signed another four-year deal in 2022, though an ongoing contract didn’t stop Ariana from moving on.
