Kimberly, who was home at the time of the attack, took Giorgi to hospital after he was driven home by those who had witnessed the brutal beating.
And the veterinary care assistant has now called on dangerous dog owners to get harsher sentences after her son was left fearful of their own pets.
She said: ‘There need to be stricter laws around dog ownership, and if you’re found liable, you have to respect the consequences.
‘Sorry it’s not enough. I could never forgive myself if it was one of my dogs that had bitten not just one child but two children and caused major injuries.
‘Owners need to be more responsible. Giorgi hasn’t gone back to school yet. He is still scared and he doesn’t want to go back to the soccer field.
Kimberly, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, said Giorgi was attacked on February 14 at a football ground near Bierley Lane, with his brother Blake and their friend Jimmy, both aged 15.
She said: ‘They had been playing for half an hour when they saw the dog Giorgi shooting my other son. The dog came running and burst the ball.
‘Blake, who has autism, was quite angry that he had popped the ball. So he left the field to find an owner.
“But before they made their way out of the field onto the pavement, they heard a scream and turned around to see the dog attacking Giorgi.

It first sank its jaws into his legs and then clung to his arms, as desperate locals used a paint scraper to try and remove it, before attacking his partner, Jimmy.

Giorgi’s mother said: “Before they walked out of the field onto the pavement, they heard a scream and turned around to see the dog attacking Giorgi.”
‘Giorgi said that the dog had come running towards him. He dropped his soccer ball, thinking the dog wanted it.
He then tried to run away, but the dog kept biting his leg. And then he bit into her right arm and held on to his left arm and didn’t let go.
Kimberly said Giorgi’s friends found three locals who desperately tried to free him from the dog’s jaws with a paint scraper.
She added: ‘One of them lifted the dog up and another one of them held the dog’s head, trying to open its mouth.
‘Someone used the handle of a paint scraper and opened its jaws. But the dog just wouldn’t let go.
“And when they finally got the dog out of Giorgi’s arm, he broke free and attacked Jimmy, and then the others grabbed the dog again.”

Giorgi still hasn’t gone back to school after he was savagely attacked by the animal
Kimberly said a local man named Dean brought her children home, where he learned of Giorgi’s injuries.
She said: ‘I told Giorgi: ‘Come in the house’, but he said: ‘I can’t walk.’
“At first I saw the puncture wound on his left arm. But it wasn’t until I got to the hospital, and they cut off his sweatpants, that I saw several bite wounds on both sides of his legs.
Giorgi was left with a puncture wound on his right elbow, three or four large holes on his left arm, as well as bite marks on his legs.
She subsequently underwent plastic surgery on February 15 and remained in the hospital until the next day while doctors assessed the extent of her injuries.
His friend Jimmy also needed to be treated by doctors for his injuries.
West Yorkshire Police have since requested information about last week’s attack and confirmed that the incident was under investigation.
