They stopped at the traffic lights on Falconer Road, which were about to turn left onto Ringwood-Warrandyte Road, just after 5pm.

The motorist then noticed the driver got out behind it to approach the vehicle, before fleeing off-road to escape.

The driver of the Mercedes can be seen stopping a few centimeters from the vehicle in front of him, before getting out with what appeared to be a metal pole and rushing towards the vehicle in front.

Also shown are the quick actions to avoid the confrontation, which left the man standing in the middle of the road as the car drove away.

The person who submitted the images reported that the driver of the Mercedes felt in the run-up that he had previously been cut off by a motorist in front of him when the Mercedes was in an end lane at an insertion point.

But they didn’t keep any footage of that particular moment.

This video sparked a lot of reaction from viewers.

One viewer said: ‘Why can’t people just go to their destination without trying to make war with others on the road… Whether something happened or not, why jump out of the car with a gun?’

“You achieve absolutely nothing but worry about nothing,” they added.

Another stated: ‘No matter what happened beforehand, no excuse to jump out and attack another motorist.’

While a third person commented, “They always show the answer, but not what they did to get the answer… They would have footage of that too, but chose not to show it.”

“Playing victim when you were probably the instigator,” they added.
