SC Paderborn has frivolously gambled away its probably last chance of promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga.
Despite a 2-0 lead at tail light SV Sandhausen, the East Westphalians did not get more than 2-2 (2-1) and are now nine points behind the relegation place.
Florent Muslija (19th) and Maximilian Rohr (27th) scored for the guests, who have been waiting for a win for five away games. Kemal Ademi (31st) and Franck Evina (48th) saved the hosts a point. Sandhausen remains without a win at home this year and is three points behind the relegation rank.
Paderborn dominated in front of 3806 spectators and took the lead with a fantastic free kick from Muslija. The eye-catching offensive player also prepared Rohr’s goal, which is well worth seeing. Ademi reduced with the outsider’s first shot on goal.
After Evina equalized, Paderborn missed some good chances to win.
