In the women’s DFB Cup final, the 2019 final between VfL Wolfsburg and SC Freiburg will be repeated.
Wolfsburg entered the final 5-0 (2-0) on Saturday after a show of force against Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich.
On Sunday, the Bundesliga team from Freiburg won 1-0 (0-0) against second division club RB Leipzig, who had been promoted early on Sunday. Hasret Kayikci (90+6) made the decision late.
The final will take place on May 18 at the RheinEnergie Stadium in Cologne. Wolfsburg have won the cup eight times in a row, in the 2019 final there was a 1-0 win over Freiburg.
Wolfsburg, who have been unbeaten in the competition for 44 games, took impressive revenge on Saturday in Munich for the 1-0 defeat in the league three weeks ago.
The brace from Sveindis Jonsdottir (19th, 47th), Ewa Pajor (44th), international Jule Brand (56th) and Dominique Janssen (60th, hand penalty) ensured that the women wolves reached the final.
